 The Stable Inn and Upper Room

The group of buildings that was once the original stables and hay loft are now the 'Stable Inn' dining room and the 'Upper Room' chapel. The original post and beam ceilings and country style furnishings make for a unique atmosphere.  

While we strive to offer clean and comfortable surroundings, our site is a balance between preserving our heritage buildings and providing a great, usable campsite. While the facilities at Glenbarr are rustic and quaint they may not meet the expectations of  everyone. If you are unsure if we will suit please book a time to look through our facilities.

The Dormitories

To the east of the property there are 6 dormitories to accommodate up to 38 people in modern carpeted rooms. Each room has 4 single beds and 1 or 2 double bunks. The rooms are insulated and have ceiling fans and are close to the Barn meeting room with a short walk to the toilet and shower block. Each room has blankets and pillows supplied. Linen can hired for a small fee.

If separate accommodation is required for group leaders or a special guest a 2 room stone cottage is also available for hire as part of group bookings. 'Kathleen's Cottage' has a queen sized bed and 2 single beds (linen supplied) with self-contained kitchenette and bathroom.  An extra fee is payable for this facility so please see our price list for details.  

Kitchen Facilites

The dining room on the lower level can seat up to 40 people and the kitchen is well appointed to cater for groups. We can quote to cater to your needs and all meals prepared by our cooks are a generous serving of home-style country cooked food. For those wishing to self-cater the kitchen is available to hire for a small fee. Evidence of a food handling certificate or equivalent is required when booking a self-catered stay.

'The Barn' Meeting Room

'The Barn' meeting room has been beautifully restored and is a central point of all camps and events at Glenbarr. Flooring is a combination of carpet and polished Jarrah floors and has  the room to seat 60 people or 25 people at tables. It is fully air-conditioned and perfect as a group training venue or ideal for a craft weekend. It is equipped with tea and coffee making facilities.

Use of the Barn Conference room is included in the price of all overnight camps and events or can be hired separately for weddings, functions or events
